Meet the
Joe Wood
artistic director & co-founder
Joe Wood (they/them) is a NYC-based actor, writer, director, and acting teacher with a BFA in Music Theatre from the University at Buffalo and advanced Meisner training at the Maggie Flanigan Studio. Joe believes that in order for the theatre to be the driving force of change it is meant to be, it must be paired with action. Through Ephemeral’s mission, they seek to transform the audience’s experience by making them active participants in the change in the world that each production calls for. Joe’s goal with The Ephemeral Players is to create transformative theatre that is accessible to all New Yorkers, as art belongs to us all.
Sabrina-Belle Dorrien
producing director & co-founder
Sabrina-Belle Dorrien is an actor, director, and producer based in NYC. She studied Film Production with a focus in Directing at Chapman University before moving from California to train at the Maggie Flanigan Studio, where she completed the two-year Conservatory and third-year Professional Actor Business Program. She now serves as the Studio Manager, continuing to grow her artistic career within the community that inspired her.
gideon klapow
Associate Artistic Director
Gideon Klapow is an Actor, Director and associate artistic director for Ephemeral players. He is currently attending the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre where he is training as an actor but has a passion for directing that’s fueled by his involvement in Ephemeral players. Gideon is a believer in theatre as a medium for social justice and thus his passion for the art stems further than applause but rather the motion of the audience.
kassidy monique charles
Communications Director
Kassidy Monique Charles is an actor and multi disciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She recently completed her 2 year Meisner Acting training at the Maggie Flanigan Studio. Her passion for the arts has fueled her career as an actor, painter, designer and curator. Kassidy believes that art is a powerful engine for connection, healing, liberation, reflection and resistance. She believes there is always a place for humanity and arts in life- and we need to embrace it in every chance we get.

Sabrina-Belle Dorrien

Sabrina-Belle Dorrien is an actor, director, and producer based in NYC. She studied Film Production with a focus in Directing at Chapman University before moving from California to train at the Maggie Flanigan Studio, where she completed advanced Meisner training while working as a freelance creative in design and digital media to support her artistic journey. She now serves as Producing Director of Ephemeral Players, continuing to grow her artistic career within the community that inspires her.
